Peel Diamond Sports Inc. (PDS) was formed in 2012 through the amalgamation of the Mandurah Tee ball Club and the Mandurah Baseball Club. PDS is a community, not-for-profit club run by volunteers and parents from the Peel District and offers Tee ball, Jr Baseball, Jr Softball, Snr Baseball and Snr Softball.
This range of ball sports offered by PDS allows in-club progression for children through all three codes of Diamond Sports, starting with Tee ball for ages 4-11, Machine Pitch Baseball/Softball for 7-11, Jr Baseball and Softball for 9-19 and Snr Baseball/Softball.
Our mission is to inspire and encourage all ball players through physical and mental development, respect for the rules of the game and to engender the basic ideals of fun, teamwork and sportsmanship at all levels of the club.
Tee ball is a modified baseball/softball game designed for young children with the aim to develop hand, eye, bat and ball coordination, to promote team comradery and engender good sportsmanship through the tee ball philosophy of FUN, FUNDAMENTAL SKILLS, FAIR PLAY and FAMILY INVOLVEMENT.
At PDS we encourage our older Tee ball players to participate in the U13 Little League Baseball and Softball at the same time. This allows them to enjoy the excitement of Tee ball whilst learning to hit a pitched ball and to understand the complexities of baseball and softball. Our Junior Baseball players then build on these fundamentals through more advanced coaching and instruction guiding them into senior baseball or softball where their involvement and enjoyment of the games continues.
PDS has successfully fielded 2 senior men’s baseball teams also a Division 6 women’s softball team for the 2020/ 2021 Season.
PDS offers many exciting opportunities for State and International representation through both Tee ball, Baseball and Softball. Baseball popularity is exploding on the world stage and Western Australia leads the way with junior team representation for the last 2 successive years at the Little League U13 World Series in the USA. The Perth Heat is WA’s Australian Baseball League representative team who successfully won the Claxton Shield again in 2015.

Life Membership can be granted to any financial member in recognition of their dedication and outstanding service to Peel Diamond Sports. The granting of Life Membership is a great honour and should not be treated lightly. On average only one or less life memberships are awarded each year.
